The City of Lights

I’ve had the opportunity to go to Paris twice so far and there are many touristy things to do. I decided to talk about my three must-do things for all ages and interest. You must see the Eiffel Tower when it sparkles,  walk down the Champs-Élysées, and see the view of Paris from the Arc de Triomphe.

The Eiffel Tower at night… I cannot even think of a word to describe the beauty of this. This is probably on the top of the list for being an absolute tourist, but something you have to see while you are there. The Tower sparkles at night, every hour on the hour, for approximately ten minutes. There is nothing quite like seeing this. The only thing that reminds me of it, is the way Tiffany diamonds sparkle in their cases.

Walking on the Champs-Élysées is another huge tourist spot. However, it is great for sightseeing, shopping, and eating. Walking along the river between the inner and outer bank of the city is more for locals and it is such a nice experience. Sometimes local venders will even be selling things such as keychains, art work, or books.

Lastly, the view from the Arc de Triomphe. Although, there are many great views in Paris, this one still remains my favorite. I would recommend going during the day even though the night is lovely, you do not get to see all of Paris in the dark. If you go during the day, try and avoid going around lunch time and try and go first thing in the morning. Also, pick a sunny day to go to see the absolute best view!

Don’t know what to bring? Check out my last post! Or look to see the best places to eat!
